Operatives of MCFRVI participating in the 6-weeks intensive training course at the Fire National Training Institute (FNTI) are on their last day of instruction today.
MCFRVI joined recruits of the Bureau of Fire Protection – Quezon City Fire District and fellow volunteers from Central District Fire and Rescue Volunteer Brigade in the training program facilitated by the BFP Training Service overseen by the Philippine Public Safety College.
It must be noted that MCFRVI and CDFRVI are the first volunteer brigades to undergo the same training given to BFP organic personnel.
MCFRVI is proud of the honor for being privileged to train with their government counterparts.
The Program of Instruction for the last module of training will run for 30 hours, commencing at 6AM today, Saturday and will last until 12nn tomorrow, Sunday. It includes simulated live fire exercise that will incorporate application of the trainees’ learning over the last five-weeks. Night operations will also be simulated to assess their level of achievement in integrated Fire Fighting operations.
The first ever BFP-volunteer joint training may also provide the groundwork for improving the inter-operability of emergency responders particularly in Quezon City.
MCFRVI wishes to extend its utmost gratitude to Gryphon-ALPHA for being given this rare opportunity.
